This last weekend was super busy but a lot of fun with the whole Baker crew down to visit. We had Chris and Kelly down from Dallas and Courtney from Abilene for the family portrait. Charles Foster did the pictures and I think they are going to turn out fabulous as Abbey would say! This week has also been filled with firsts for Cole. He started sucking his thumb (what can you do), started putting weight on his legs standing, and is trying to pull himself up out of the infant carrier! He is growing up so fast! Abbey, Cole, and I have been enjoying the GORGEOUS weather we've been having and taking our wagon rides outside. This verse has come to mind this week: "The heavens tell of the glory of God. The skies display His marvelous craftmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make Him known." Psalm 19:1-2 May we all just take time to look up even when life is busy and chaotic and thank Him for all He's created and that He is in control over all.
Well, our crew is growing up and FAST!!! Cole is already 4 months and cooing, laughing, and trying to roll over and cut teeth (yikes)! Abbey started school again at Southminster on Tuesdays and Thursdays and is loving it. She loves her time at chapel, the computer lab and expecially drawing, painting, or anything artistic (taking after her poppey)! Mom here is going at light speed; most days it feels like a miracle to get a hot meal on the table for dinner! I started back with Ladies Bible Study at our church on Tuesdays and am doing an awesome Beth Moore study. I know that God will use this study to grow me this Fall; if you've ever done a Beth Moore study, she gets right to the heart of it! Chad is still very busy with Staubach wich continues to be a huge blessing. He's so busy this month, I think his head is spinning, but that's just the eb and flow of the business.
This season in our life is exausting on most days but full of many joys, hilarious comedic moments from our kids, and NEVER dull!! Abbey is a loving big sister and wants to smother Cole with kisses and hugs (very cute)! She is enjoying showing him how his toys work and being a second little mother, "Now Cole, stop fussing", she says in her grown up little voice. We're pretty excited because this weekend Chad's siblings are coming in town for a family portrait. We will be visiting with Courtney, Chris and Kelly througout the weekend; I'll send out pics from our adventures.
