Cole is Here!

Yes, I'm really the worst about keeping up with this blog thing!! We have quite a few updates since the last entry, and how am I doing about getting pictures up?! Well, May 15, 2006 God blessed us with a healthy, big, beautiful boy. Cole Daniel was born at 7:48 a.m. weighing a whopping 10pds, 4 oz!!! Let's just say Mom was relieved to have the Dr. deliver him! It's been a whirlwind ever since and Chad and I just now, feel like we're getting out of the fog since he's sleeping through the night (HALLELUIA!!) Abbey is a wonderful big sister; she turned 3 since my last entry. We had a big princess dress up party and everything. But yes, she loves brother and constantly wants to kiss and hug on him. It's so cute because she keeps asking us when she can teach him things, like riding a bike. We tell her it will be a while and she's also quite frustrated that he can't talk to her yet. Cole is a sweet baby, seems to be very good natured at this point and we love it when he gives us those sweet gummy smiles. This summer is going by really fast between all of our activities and of course, new baby! Abbey had her first dance recital the end of May and was such a little angel. They danced to "It's a Small World" and she was so proud of herself that she finally learned to skip! She's also been taking swim lessons all summer and doing much better than last year. She's been putting her face in the water and going down the froggy slide; I don't think it's going to be too much longer before she's taking off on her own. Chad's enjoying his summer still working hard with and occassional perk like a golf boondoggle. Chad and one of his client companies just went on a golf weekend to the Westin La Cantera and had a great time. No vacations this summer with Cole being so little but we are looking forward to some fall trips. We are hoping to go to ACU's homecoming in October and head to see some friends in Nashville end of October. I've always wanted to see that part of the country in Fall!
